I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my esteemed Chairman, Mrs. Uchenna Ogunedo Akingbade, on her historic emergence as Chairman-Elect of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch. 

This achievement is particularly significant, as she becomes the trailblazing first woman to lead the premier Branch, hence, a diamond we all treasure. This marks a milestone in the Branch's history.

The weight of responsibility that accompanies this leadership role is substantial, and I have every confidence in Mrs. Akingbade's ability, alongside her team, to discharge their duties with distinction and integrity.

I offer my warmest congratulations to the newly elected executive members, who have demonstrated remarkable dedication and passion. The keenly contested election underscores the commitment of Lagos Branch members to the democratic process. With the elections concluded, it is fitting to acknowledge that the true victor is the Branch itself, having successfully navigated a robust electoral exercise.

[Uyo-based Human Rights Lawyer ] In Nigeria, beyond the Superior Courts of record recognized by the Constitution of Nigeria(as amended), there exist several other layers of courts, most of which exist by dint of the laws of the various states.
