 I extend my warmest felicitations to the distinguished Executive Committee, and the entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Kaduna Branch, on the occasion of your 2025 Law Week.

 The theme: “Strengthening the Legal Profession: Discipline, Ethics, and Innovation in Contemporary Practice", In an this era of technological evolution and fast change in professional expectations, this theme is not on timely but astute. 
I wish all members of the great Kaduna Branch wonderful deliberations and please stay safe and alert in the face of security challenges in our dear country.

Akwa Ibom Customary Courts: Who will Save Our District Court Chairmen? By ~ Meti M. Ukpeh, Esq. [Uyo-based Human Rights Lawyer ] In Nigeria, beyond the Superior Courts of record recognized by the Constitution of Nigeria(as amended), there exist several other layers of courts, most of which exist by dint of the laws of the various states.
