COURT OF APPEAL ELEVATION: NBA-YLF UYO BRANCH POURS ENCOMIUMS ON THE HON. JUSTICE NTONG F. NTONG JCA.

In his words, the NBA-YLF Chairman, Meti M. Ukpeh, Esq., remarked thus:

"It is with an unreserved humility, a savour of delight and a noble tickle of penmanship that I pour a heartwarming encomium on a jurist per excellence, dazzled with the gift of the gab, mercurial ebullience and a scion  of judicial intelligentsia 

Hon. Justice Ntong F. Ntong JCA is a worthy meteor in the legal profession, a memento for young/old and a persona with Apt and rapt legal perspicacity.

A day in His Lordship's court is an intellectual manumission from a mishmash  of claustrophobic, haggard and lackadaisical legal practice as My Lord, among others, would not hesitate to draw one's attention to R. 14, 16 and 27(3) of the RPC.

My Lord in his time as a High Court Judge was true to young and old devoid of standoffish, eerie, trepidation and stratagem.

I make bold to say that, at  a time when our beloved country has been in effervescent and vigorous search for a jurist of honour and integrity,  His Lordship's elevation becomes timely, timeous and divine. Just like the Psalmist would sing: "it's the Lord's doing and it is marvelous is our eyes". 

His Lordship's elevation has not petrified me as God, the Pro domino and  carte blanche, had clairvoyantly ordained My Lord's elevation. The locale, court room organization and management  as "a ready-made Court of Appeal" during My Lord's time as a HC Judge was, indeed a pointer that God had a big plan for My Lord and Akwa Ibom State

His Lordship, an iconic pedagogue, is endeared  to Young Lawyers and never stops in teaching young lawyers the "ropes" . On 20th October, 2023, His Lordship graced our YLF function and delivered a lecture in that  regard. Also, When we, young lawyers, hosted the first Akwa Ibom Young Lawyers Congress on the 3rd & 4th December, 2023, His Lordship also graced the function and delivered the opening address.

Thus, I join host of Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians, on behalf of NBA-YLF, Uyo Branch, in felicitating My Lord Ntong F. Ntong JCA and wish him a God-driven, God-protected and a successful career at the Higher Bench. This is just the beginning. He will get to the Supreme Court of Nigeria too. With sagacious wisdom and illustrious erudition of His Lordship, we look forward to reading His Lordship in NWLR , LPELR, et Al.
