LEGAL ADVISER,UYO-BAR) FELICITATES WITH EASTERN BAR FORUM(EBF) ON THE OCCASION OF ITS QUARTERLY GENERAL MEETING SLATED TO HOLD IN THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF UYO FROM 24TH - 25TH MARCH, 2023. Chinua Achebe once alluded that when we gather together at moonlight to have folklore, it is not because we cannot all sight the moon from our respective homes, but it is for the spirit of kinship and brotherhood. Hence, it is not surprising that lawyers under the umbrella of EBF converge quarterly to break words and chart a new cause for EBF, the legal profession and for the greater good of the society.  Assuredly, I have no doubt that at the end of the meeting, robust and impactful decisions will be reached and agreed upon for the upliftment of legal practice and the fundamental duty on lawyers to continually play a critical role in deepening our constitutional democracy. "I FELICITATE WITH EASTERN BAR FORUM(EBF) ON ITS QUARTERLY MEETING IN UYO FROM 24TH TO 25TH MARCH, 2023". Meti M. Ukpeh, Esq., Uyo-based Human Rights Lawyers Welcomes EBF May I heartily felicitate with the regional body of NBA, Eastern Bar Forum, on the occasion of its first quarterly meeting slated to hold from 24th to 25th March, 2023 in the beautiful city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.  It is my earnest crave that the deliberations in the meeting be tilted toward the rejuvenation of the welfare of lawyers,  problems hovering around the electoral space in Nigeria, the cashless policy of the CBN, the human rights abuse of electorates, conflicting court judgments, welfare of young lawyers amidst other social vices facing the polity.  I sincerely have no doubt that the august meeting will make resolutions that will better the lots of its 9-member states, NBA and Nigeria as a whole.  I most warmly welcome EBF members to Akwa State. Ukpeh, Esq., Uyo-based Human Rights Lawyer fumes It is no longer news that the race for senate presidency has begun and political stalwarts like Ndume, Kalu, Umahi, Akpabio, among others, are strong contenders to be the Senate President of the hallowed Red Chambers. In his words to our correspondents, the Uyo-based Human Rights lawyer said thus: "...since the birth of Nigeria and in fact democracy in this country, the good people of Akwa Ibom have been sidelined in the Headship affairs of the hallowed Chambers.
