Meti Monday Ukpeh,Esq., the Admin and Convener of the Online Interactive knowledge-Sharing Sessions,  NBA VOTERS MEET, ELECTION 2022, for the hitherto Candidates, congratulates Y. C. Maikyau,  Preaident-Elect, NBA, et Al, on the victory at the polls. 

In his words to correspondents of SupremeLaw News: "I must confess that l got convinced that Y. C. M would win when he participated in our interactive session from 7pm of the said day till about 11pm in the night. Within this period, many people thronged in, they actively shared knowledge on the platform, many had the opportunity of interfacing with him directly an so on. Great love and admiration of him by the people was in the air and felt indeed by participants on the platform even as he took time to navigate with positive answers to questions on the platform. At this point oozing out the ambience of capacity, one and myself, personally, needed no seer or fortune teller to tell me that he will be the next president of our noble association.

"Verily l must say, this is a victory for the Bar, our noble profession, and Nigeria. His victory attests to the fact that NBA Election should be a paragon and a yardstick upon which Nigerian secular politics should be modeled upon.

Consequently, l unreservedly congratulate our noble learned silk and all winners at the polls.

[Uyo-based Human Rights Lawyer ] In Nigeria, beyond the Superior Courts of record recognized by the Constitution of Nigeria(as amended), there exist several other layers of courts, most of which exist by dint of the laws of the various states. In this class are the Customary Courts, Magistrates Courts, the Area Courts, among others.  In Akwa Ibom State, the Customary Courts occupy the immediate layer after the Customary Court of Appeal (though yet to be established), which explains why appeals from the Customary Courts go to the High Courts(S.67, CCL,2022).The Customary Court is the closest court to the grassroots(S.1, 14, and 18, CCL.)
