*INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY*

Indeed, trying times abound -- IDP Camps filled with children, the Covid-19 plague, insecurity, religious extremism and social imbalances have all plunged the would-have-been blissful lives of our children to the cloak of uncertainties --where sicknesses, stigmatization and death become inevitable

Our laws, norms, values, charters, protocols and conventions become epileptic, lame and shrimped in shambles--mere documents of monuments and statues achieving successes only in a reverse, but living conditions of a child pebbled in misery.

Thus, if the "child is the father of the man" , we must, individually and collectively , in our little corners , homes and communities, re-create a better society for our beloved children-- guard against child molestation, defilement, indecent assaults, rape, displacement and many more!

May such a day never come that our children would stare into our eyes with regrets. A child is wealth. A Child is home. And children are the future.
