Retirement Age; A  Prerequisite For Political Leadership in Nigeria. why?
By Commrade Japhet Mike.

There's a particular set time for everything in every structural settings. Likewise in every organization or establishment.

There's a time for an active marginal product increments of labour, and a time for a total declined. At this time of total decline, every efforts to increase marginal product of labour tends negative. Hence, calls for a need to send to rest or retired.

Retirement according to Merriam Webster dictionary, is the act of ending a working or professional career. In Wikipedia, the true encyclopedia, it is describe as the withdrawal from one's position or occupation, or from one's active working life. Investopedia have it that, it is the time of life when one chooses to permanently leave the  workforce behind. In all, the generalization portrays that, marginal labour productivity is highly active and increasing at the youthful age, and declines with an Increment in age. This is to say, a man's most physical and mental contributions to growth is at his youthful age.

In Nigeria today, political active  participation and leadership is viewed from a different perspective.
It is at the age of retirement, that the political leadership is been granted. This is so because, 90% of our leaders are at their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s or, if we wants to look at ages from it originality, we may be tempted to say 100s or even above that.  On this, my question is always why?

At this age, majority are physically and mentally weak,  and cannot positively contributes towards any improvement or progress in our nation's growth, but desire to accumulate political seats in due to their excessive greediness and gluttonous self-interest and selfishness.

Nigerian youths, do we expect Nigeria to be better this way ?
It is our rights to make  Nigeria what we want.

Imagine the value of our currency depreciating at every seconds, even when we  are capable of making it compatible with that of the rest of the world.

Imagine the unemployment rate in the country, when jobs can be made available. Are we forgotten that we are blessed with sufficient natural resources?
In fact, our leaders today are the causes of unemployment and inflation in the country. This is so because, God has already structured Nigeria economy for progress and prosperity, but the leaders impaired, hijacked,  privatized and even monopolized the common property resources, based on their self-centered interests.

If we must continue like this, let's expect a serious calamity and even a civil war on the long-run. To get over this, it is the right time to take over leadership and governance, at all level.

A very big kudos to Youth Democratic Party of Nigeria (YDPN), for this pantegruelian intervention, towards youths emancipation,  to birth a new Nigeria.

I will not forget to say that, in the first republic, and during the first phase of military rule, youths contributed actively, and played some significant role in the governance of Nigeria. For instance, Alhaji Shehu Shagari and Alhaji Ibrahim Waziri were ministers in their 20s, Matthew Mbu was an ambassador in his early 20s, Yakubu Gowon became head of state at the age of 31, Olusegun Obasanjo became the head of state at the age of 39, and lot more.

If youths of those days were capable, even with their limited level of exposures, youths of these days can do even more and more.

I encourage you to invite and add friends, families, co-workers, neighbors, and in fact, any closed Nigerian to our groups on  what'sApp, facebook, Instagram etc.
