COMMISSIONER OF POLICE  IN AKWA IBOM IS EATING FAT AND TOO

COMFORTABLE WHILE JUNGLE JUSTICE   ON THE INCREASE: The need for the police to do their job than profiting on the politicians' sleeves

There is no doubt that Akwa lbom state,  the oil rich state,  has become the land of "milk and honey" for most members of the FORCE,  police inclusive. Thus,  they live comfortable,  too relaxed and too comfortable that they leave behind their primary assignment of protection of lives and propties , for self-aggrandizing and half-baked services to the people of the State. 

Petty thieves have been burnt to ashes in recent times,  yet the police has done nothing to curb these spurious acts, jungle justice,  disgusting maiming and burning of these petty thieves with Petrol and tyres. These do not in any way spell good of the state. 

Petty thieves have been burnt at Nwaniba,  Ekpiri Nsukara,  Abak road,  ikot Ekpene road,  etc; all in uyo whereas police are parasitically increasing and extorting  "bail" from their weak innocent populace. This is sheer nonsense! 

It's about time the commissioner of police and the entire police force in Akwa Ibom state lived to the expectations the indigenes bestowed on them. Jungle justice is too much! This does not define who we are! Rather than keep sending and attaching police officers to politicians who are the ambassadors of poverty in the state,  the Commissioner of Police should know that he has the primary duty to protect the people,  and that one day,  he shall give due account of his stewardship before  God and man.
