*NATIONAL BUREAU OF STATISTICS(NBS) HAS A 21y DAY ULTIMATUM TO REVIEW ITS METHODOLOGY ON BAD REPORTAGE AGAINST AKWA IBOM PEOPLE OR WITHDRAW SAME OR FACE THE LAW. * *By ~ METI MONDAY UKPEH ESQ.*             (Ama-Mme Anana-Owo)  It is no longer funny that the Federal Agency,  NBS,  will continue to pollute the sensitivities of the people of Akwa Ibom state with archaic, primitive and inaccurately derived statistics in recent times.  The Bureau,  within the span of 3years,  has poorly labelled and painted the state in bad light,  viz: (a)  High in HIV,  (b)  Unemployment,  and most recently (c)  High in consumption of Alcohol.  One would wonder: how many Beer Breweries do we have in the state?  How many local alcohol production do we have?  What is the population of the state compared to others do we have that we are high in unemployment?  Can a state like Akwa Ibom with high level of Education,  HIV consciousness and awareness be rated 2nd-highest in HIV without a proper statistical rese

*THE BLOOD OF LIVES LOST ON CALABAR-ITU ROAD IS ON THE HANDS OF AKWA-CROSS GOVERNORS,  NOT ON FED. GOVT.* _By ~ METI MONDAY UKPEH ESQ_         _(Ama-Mme Anana-Owo)_ _*It is a gargantuan shame and a Napoleon folly that* *with barbarian vile,  the Federal Government has sent the indigenes of our land to early graves by continued and perpetual show of ill-fated politics in the construction of calabar-Itu road for decades now*._ Not surprisingly,  the Governors of Akwa Ibom and Cross River (AKWA CROSS) in the last decade have aided the federal government in laying waste the lives of the people of that region.  Why would one blame the federal govt?  The Governors of the region fly on air,  their children, their stooges,  praise-singers and other cargo of failures,  don't ply the road,  but the poor masses whose mass graves have lost count!  _Days back occurred a fatal accident where a whole bus was shattered and battered, ripped off beyond recognition and repairs. Guess what?  Lives wer

Youth Democratic Party of Nigeria (YDPN): A Way Forward Towards A New and Sustainable Nigeria. by Japhet Mike. The system of political practices in Nigeria today is seen to be annoying and irritating, as the reasons for governance has far back been ignored and forgotten. A situation of hardship in Nigeria today is so alarming as the cost of living is too high, couple with an undeserved high level of unemployment and price instability. If you ask me why, I will prestissimo tells that, it's as a result of ignorance, greediness and lack of intellectual capacity in managing an economy. In Nigeria, we are blessed with several natural and even with capable and qualify human resources. But in the world economy, where are we today? A country that had independent ever since 1960 is considered approximately 60 years today. We should be asking ourselves, why are we like this? A man that is as old as Nigeria should be considered as an old man today. You can imagine a country of this age withou

INDEFINITE STRIKE LOOMING IN AKSU: WERE THE PROMISES MADE BY AKWA IBOM GOVT. A MERE LIP SERVICE ?  Barely a month that the strike actions of the state owned university were called off almost immediately after the intervention of the state government,  today the same university is under lock and key,  hence the academic activities become truncated.  Some people,  media --printed and non-printed had went agog singing the gentile praises that the government had timely swing to action in rescuing the ill-fated day of the strike of the institution. Today,  one is helpless,  but very curious to ask: were the promises made by the state government a mere puff?  Who is fooling who?  Those encomiums,  were they orchestrated or instigated by party faithfuls?  Why is there a circular pasted on the school entrance barring students and staff from entering the school premises?  Why is ASUU,  NASU AND NAAT of the institution embarking on strike?  Obviously,  your guess is as good as mine. It's abo

Thus,  they live comfortable,  too relaxed and too comfortable that they leave behind their primary assignment of protection of lives and propties , for self-aggrandizing and half-baked services to the people of the State.  Petty thieves have been burnt to ashes in recent times,  yet the police has done nothing to curb these spurious acts, jungle justice,  disgusting maiming and burning of these petty thieves with Petrol and tyres. These do not in any way spell good of the state.  Petty thieves have been burnt at Nwaniba,  Ekpiri Nsukara,  Abak road,  ikot Ekpene road,  etc; all in uyo whereas police are parasitically increasing and
